I am unable to get the Ricoh Card reader to work in Hardy on my system. Can you please share any information/scripts that you used to get it to work?

Hey John, just thought I would let you know what is hanging with the new hardy (just in case you haven't had much time to test out the final). I have been running Hardy for about three days now. It is pretty good, hibernate/sleep work great (except the occasional glitch on wakeup, but it is much better than before). The only thing I see that is working right is the power management. The CPU is always at full power, the gpu is always cranked, and power saving just isn't there= which makes my 9cell die at a disbicable two hours (normally about three and a half in vista). Anyway, just thought I would let you know what's happening.

I tried Wubi with the Release Candidate and so far things are working, I do get a strangle message from Windows at the boot loader, but nothing I am concerned with at the moment.

Only problem I had was with wireless, and the command under your last post didn't work. What do you think of trying http://www.ubuntu1501.com/2008/04/ndiswrapper-in-hardy-heron.html ? I have a 6400, but don't know exactly what model wireless...

Great feedback and that's what I'm doing. BTW, I'm now running Hardy Beta which is 100% better than Alpha 6.

Everything works perfectly!

Good question...it sounds very promising. With rumors of them addressing the hibernate issue, it just may be. Also, the BCM43xx wireless driver is now being integrated into the kernel and should work off the bat.

Right now my focus is getting the Gutsy CD finished and I'm going to worry about Hardy later. My new Gutsy CD will feature the ATI Catalyst driver from AMD and some fixes that make video playback work without flickering...something this ATI driver has trouble with.
